The SWANA Film Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, the Burramattagal people and clans of the Dharug. We honour Dharug elders, ancestors and future communities. 

The first-ever SWANA Film Festival was a project of Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE), supported by Screen NSW, City of Parramatta and Arab Theatre Studio

The 3-day festival showcased over 20 films spanning across Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Armenia, and Syria!
