Celebrating First Nations Culture

Join us at The Crescent, Parramatta Park, as our friends from the City of Parramatta present Burramatta NAIDOC, exploring the rich diversity of First Nations music, food, dance, and culture.

Mark your calendars for this unmissable free event on Saturday, July 8, running from 10 am to 4 pm. Let’s celebrate the 2023 National NAIDOC Week with the theme ‘For Our Elders’, acknowledging the significant role they have played and continue to play in our communities and families.

The event will be MCed by Akala Newman, ACE’s First Nations Program Advisor and a proud Wiradjuri/Gadigal woman.

Akala will also be performing on the day.

From 12 pm to 4 pm, Auntie Julie Webb, proud Dharug Knowledge Holder, will host the profoundly moving Truth Telling Tent. It’s a pertinent moment not to be missed.

Bring the family for a fun day out to experience the vibrant culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Enjoy live music and dance performances, try your hand at arts and crafts, shop for something special at the market stalls, and listen to songs and stories.
