The Lovers by Yumna Kassab
About the Book
The Lovers by Yumna Kassab is a poignant and thought-provoking novel that delves into the complexities of love, identity, and cultural clashes. Set against the backdrop of a bustling city, the story follows the intertwined lives of two individuals from different backgrounds: Nour, a young Lebanese woman, and Adam, an American expatriate. As their paths converge, they embark on a passionate and forbidden love affair that challenges societal norms and traditions. Kassab skillfully explores themes of cultural dissonance, personal freedom, and the universal longing for connection. With lyrical prose and rich characterization, The Lovers offers a captivating exploration of love’s transformative power and the sacrifices it demands.
