About Tradie Cards

Tradie Cards is an eight-part action-comedy series set in Western Sydney, following a day labourer who creates a hit card game inspired by his tradie coworkers – only for things to spiral when all of Western Sydney signs up for a tournament to decide who really owns the game.

Created by Tim Grubisic, the project is currently in development with Screen NSW. Tim was also one of the standout content makers from ACE’s 2024 Calling Cards initiative, and ACE is proud to continue supporting the development of his creative practice through this fundraiser.

Comedy for a Cause

For one night only, Tradie Cards brings together six comedians for an evening of stand-up and musical comedy at ACE Parramatta.

Hosted by Marty Bright, the lineup features:

• Marty Bright

• Esky Escandor

• Laura Hughes

• Ally Morgan

• Tim Grubisic

• Luke Antoun

Proceeds from the night will go towards the development of Tradie Cards, helping the team take the Western Sydney comedy series from concept towards production. The fundraiser also gives audiences a chance to get behind an original local project and support Western Sydney screen storytelling.

And because no tradie fundraiser would be complete without one – there’ll also be a meat tray raffle on the night.
