About the Event

Kino Western Sydney returned to ACE for its seventh instalment of open-mic short film night, where bold stories, fresh talent, and passionate movie buffs came together for one unmissable evening. Standout storytelling, delicious bites, and the chance to connect with our growing screen community – all under one roof.

Each month we present a fresh and surprising mix of local stories and international gems, with every screening bringing something new to discover. Come early for flavour-packed tacos from Señor Toro and live music to set the mood, then settle in for an evening of films, filmmaker Q&As, trivia and audience prizes.
Kino is a chance for filmmakers to screen their work in a welcoming setting — and for audiences to discover fresh stories, meet like-minded creatives, and be part of a lively cinephile community.
