GUL Collective Presents: Plant Stories in Thread

May 5, 2025 10:00 am

A Celebration of Plants Through Fibre Art

Join us for Plant Stories in Thread, an exhibition by the GUL Collective at the Garden Gallery, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. Through intricate textile-based artworks, this exhibition explores the powerful connections between plants, memory, and culture.

Developed through collaborative workshops led by artist Paula do Prado, each artwork reflects the textures, forms, and stories of flora—both native and global—that hold deep personal significance for the artists. Expect pieces inspired by Jasmine, Camellia, Wollemi Pine, Sacred Lotus, and more.

This exhibition invites you to experience textile art as a form of storytelling, healing, and cultural exchange.
