Cosmic Connections: Celebrating 40 years of ACE

November 22, 2025 4:00 pm — Tickets $25
8 Victoria Rd, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia

The Celebration of a Special Anniversary

For 40 years, Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE) has been a constellation of creativity – a place where cultures meet, stories intertwine, and transformation begins. To celebrate this luminous journey, Gili Gatherings – Gili, meaning “to shine” in Gadigal/Dharug language – presented Cosmic Connections, a night that honoured care, cultural continuity, and the infinite possibilities of community.

Check out some event photos below! Full album on our Facebook page.

The ACE community were immersed in art, music, dance, fashion, and storytelling across multiple spaces from day to night. Something for everyone – from family friendly live puppetry performances, mural painting, hands on embroidery workshops, live performances, DJ’s and exhibitions. Attendees were also the first to see the new Yapa Mali fashion collection on runway! Together, we celebrated the brilliance of Western Sydney artists and the vibrant future we’re creating.

About the ACE First Nations Program

Our First Nations projects support intergenerational and interdisciplinary art practices, the development of experimental work and new platforms for exchange in Western Sydney. We work with deep collaboration and cultural care, challenging what First Nations arts-based projects can look like and how they connect to place.
Our program offers opportunities for cultural practitioners to make new work, engage in creative development with peers and up-skill to support professional career development.
