The Animation Crash Course brought together emerging and early-career animators for a hands-on session focused on skill development and industry insight.

Participants were introduced to key stages of the animation pipeline, building practical skills while gaining an understanding of collaborative production processes. The workshop created a supportive space for connection, learning and experimentation, while also highlighting opportunities to get involved in a larger creative project: Reanimated 2026.

ACE Parramatta, in partnership with ReanimatedAU offers participants the opportunity to be introduced to the fundamentals of character animation, from Animator Wilton Lander (Flying Bark, Studio Moshi, Half Giant) and Amira Stanbouli (Arena Media, Aracourt Studio), and learn how to translate live-action reference clips into animated performance.
The session offered a practical overview of the animation process, from interpreting movement and timing through to creating a finished animated moment.
