A Western Sydney Book Club – November Edition

November 28, 2025 6:30 pm — Tickets FREE
8 Victoria Rd, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia

About the Book

In What Kept You? by Raaza Jamshed, readers explore the space between safety and freedom, belonging and exile. Moving from Pakistan to rural Australia, the novel follows how memory, landscape, and language shape our sense of identity through loss and renewal. Drawing on themes of migration, family history, and survival, Jamshed examines intergenerational trauma, the struggle of making home in a new land, and how to cope with a past that is always there lingering behind us.

The November session was led by facilitator Zeynab Gamieldien and delivered an extraordinary discussion. This event took place in a safe and welcoming space at Arts & Cultural Exchange. Light refreshments were offered.

This event was presented by Omar Sakr with the support of Arts & Cultural Exchange.
