Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE) — LOCATION

ACE Venue Information

Public Transport

  • Approximately 15 minutes walk down Church Street from Parramatta Station and Bus Interchange, as well as from Parramatta Ferry Wharf
  • Trains (T1 Western Line, T5 Cumberland Line NSW Trainlink Blue Mountains Line, Central West XPT and Outback Xplorer) run to Parramatta Station and the Bus Interchange
  • Bus routes (546, 549, 550, 552, 600, 601, 603, 606, 609, 625, 706) run from Parramatta Station and stop at Prince Alfred Square, Victoria Road
  • Free Shuttle Bus 900 departs from Macquarie Street and stops at Church Street, North and Prince Alfred Park on Church Street
  • Parramatta Light Rail (L4 Line) from Parramatta Square to Church Street station

Parking

  • ACE does not have on-site parking
  • Drop off parking on site is available – please contact [email protected] to arrange
  • On-street, paid parking is available along Villiers Street (4P, 8am to 6pm Monday – Saturday, FREE on Sunday)
  • The Parramatta Leagues Club Car Park is a 5-10 minute walk from ACE on Eels
    Place. It has FREE parking all day from 9:15am except on event days which incurs a $30 Visitors Fee (or $15 for Eels members)
  • The Fennell Street Car Park is located a 5-minute walk from ACE on the corner of Fennell and Villiers Streets ($9 all-day parking)
  • Drivers with a Mobility Parking Scheme card displayed are entitled to park in a metered/ticketed area at no charge

ACE Foyer

General

  • Assistance animals are welcome
  • Rooms are heated and air-conditioned, except for the Event Space which includes two fans
Bathrooms
  • All bathrooms including accessible bathrooms are located on the ground floor
  • Single-stall bathrooms with sanitary bins are available
  • Accessible bathroom includes change-table facilities and an accessible shower
  • Women’s bathrooms: 3.68m x 3.75m
  • Men’s bathrooms: 4.13m x 3.68m
  • Accessible bathroom: 2.06m x 2.97m
Lift Access
  • 1st and 2nd floors can be accessed via elevator located in the front foyer
  • Please note that the elevator button must be held down to travel up to the 1st and 2nd floors
Child Friendly
  • ACE is child-friendly and we endeavour to keep the rooms and spaces safe for
    people of all ages

  • Change table facilities are available in the accessible bathroom located on the
    ground floor

Kitchen and Food
  • Food must be provided by the hirer. ACE can provide local recommendations for
    catering upon request
  • The Kitchen Area is a shared space and all groups are responsible for safe and
    hygienic preparation and clean up
  • Alcohol is not permitted onsite except when the hirer provides staff with a valid
    Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • ACE is a smoke-free venue and complies with the NSW Smoke-Free Environment
    Act 2000 and the Smoke-free Environment Regulation 2016
  • Kitchen includes microwave, fridge, hot water urn, cutlery, crockery and glassware – please contact [email protected] for more details
Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and sound sensitive people
  • Specific software enquiries can be directed to [email protected]
  • ACE can be loud at times and noise does carry throughout the building
  • We do not have induction loop systems in the venue
People with severe allergies or who are immunocompromised
  • Air-conditioning is installed in all of the spaces except for the Event Space
  • Doors at the back of the building can be opened to allow fresh air to circulate
  • A large number of people and groups use ACE at any given time and the Kitchen
    Area is a shared space
First Aid
  • First Aid Kits are located around ACE and are indicated by a large green medical sign
