EOI for CACD Professional Development 2024-2025

We invite emerging community arts and cultural workers to participate in a professional development program through active learning and grounded practice.

Capabilities and Leadership Skills in Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) for Emerging Producers in Western Sydney is a program that aims to build the professional skills and capacities of early career community arts/artists and cultural workers as future CACD producers.

The CACD Professional Development program is presented in partnership with TAFE NSW and supported by Creative Australia, Multicultural NSW and Powerhouse.

What:
You will participate in training workshops online and in person (starting mid-October).
You will be offered an internship in a Western Sydney arts organisation for practical experience in 2025.
The program supports the professional development of next-generation community arts and cultural workers in the Western Sydney region, with a focus on building critical practice and the CACD sector as a whole.

 

Who:
You will be one of 16 participants from Western Sydney (or with a strong connection to Western Sydney).
You may be currently working in an arts organisation or community context with an interest in community cultural engagement.
You will be in the first five years of community arts and/or cultural work or returning to this work.
You must commit to participating in the entire program.

 

When:
ACE is offering this opportunity from mid-October 2024 to June 2025 (excluding December 2024 and January 2025)

 

Where:
TAFE NSW training will be held at ACE in Burramatta on Dharug Land.
2025 internships will be with program partners in the greater Western Sydney region.
