This year, Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE) proudly marks 40 years of fostering creativity, community, and culture in Western Sydney. To honour this milestone, we’ve collaborated with artist Gillian Kayrooz to create a limited-edition silk scarf that embodies the spirit of ACE. This exclusive piece is more than just a scarf—it’s a wearable celebration of our legacy and a tribute to the vibrant artistic community we serve.

The limited-edition silk scarf is the result of an exciting collaboration between ACE and artist Gillian Kayrooz, whose artistic journey is deeply intertwined with our organisation.
Raised on unceded Dharug land in Western Sydney, Gillian’s work is a profound reflection on identity, place, and community. Her creative partnership with ACE began in her teens through programs like All Girl Electronic and New Age Noise Collective, and has grown to encompass projects like 100% West, Barbershop, and Exchange 23.
For Gillian, ACE has been more than an artistic platform—it’s been a second home where she’s built lifelong friendships and honed her craft as an artist and creative leader. Her design for the scarf captures the essence of this relationship, celebrating Western Sydney’s creativity, resilience, and boundless talent.
