We’re thrilled to announce the newest member of ACE’s Board of Management, Iqra Ahmed Bhatia! Her appointment marks a significant step in strengthening our financial sustainability and deepening our commitment to ethical leadership and community engagement.
Iqra Ahmed Bhatia is a seasoned finance professional and advocate for ethical leadership. Currently serving as Associate Director in the Corporate and Institutional Banking division at NAB, she brings extensive experience in financial strategy, risk management, and corporate governance, with a background spanning institutions such as Commonwealth Bank, KPMG, and Deloitte.
Beyond her financial expertise, Bhatia is a dedicated advocate for ethical governance and social impact. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for the University of Sydney’s Arts and Social Sciences Faculty and is a Banking and Financial Services Oath Ambassador with The Ethics Centre, mentoring the next generation of finance professionals on responsible decision-making.
Bhatia’s dedication to community engagement is evident in her work with organisations such as the Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation, where she has contributed to youth development programs, and The Smith Family’s Fast Forward program, mentoring high school students towards brighter futures. Her alignment with ACE’s mission to empower underrepresented voices through arts and culture makes her an invaluable addition to the Board.
Bhatia joins ACE at a time of continued growth and recognition, with the organisation recently being named Outstanding Community Organisation at the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE) for the second consecutive year. With over four decades of championing First Nations artists, young people, multicultural women, artists with disabilities, and aged care communities, ACE remains dedicated to using creativity as a tool for empowerment and social change.
Her appointment strengthens ACE’s capacity to ensure financial sustainability while continuing its mission of fostering cultural exchange and innovation. We are excited to welcome Iqra Ahmed Bhatia and look forward to her contributions to ACE’s future.
